A documentary coming to NBC News in 2017 that chronicles the 2012 Boston Marathon bombing will focus on the aftermath of the tragedy and what went wrong, according to the network.

The documentary will be produced by a team led by New York Times reporter Chris Hayes, who will lead the reporting, according the network’s announcement on Monday.

Hayes has been covering the Boston bombing since the attack and will serve as an analyst on the documentary, which will be the first of its kind.

Haymes has been reporting on the marathon for more than a decade and has covered the attack for many outlets including the New York Post, USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, The New Yorker and The New Republic.

He has written for CNN, MSNBC, the New Yorker, New York magazine and Rolling Stone.
